Rolling into Fall: A Guide to Fall Roller Hockey Registration

The fall season at Total Roller Hockey is just around the corner! So as you prepare, here are a few tips and details for new and seasoned parents and teams alike to keep in mind when registering!

1. Don’t wait until the deadline. – Fall and winter are our busiest sessions and you don’t want to miss out, so make sure to get your team and/or your child registered! The youth registration deadline for the fall session is set for August 22nd with games beginning August 28th. Youth leagues are individual sign up, however if your child wants to play on the same team as his/her friends, let us know! Adults, with individual and team options available, your registration deadline is slated for August 13th with games kicking off August 17th.
*All Total Roller Hockey leagues are co-ed. For youth, girls do have the option to play down one division (for example, if a girl is 14 she has the option of playing 14U or 12U).

2. Don’t forget your deposit. – When registering your team(s), a $100 non-refundable deposit per team is required to complete your registration. This amount is deducted from the total team fee.
*Please note, if your team is not paid IN FULL by your third game, there is an additional charge.

3. Turn in complete rosters. – The rosters purpose is three-fold. If your team has played at Total Roller previously, make sure to send roster changes to Kyle Stambersky at
1) So we have correct information and put the right players on the right teams (there are a lot of name doubles). That being said, if all information has changed please provide the previous parent e-mail address used on
the player MySam account, this helps prevent creating duplicate accounts.
2) For players to view the full schedule, standings, and receive game reminders via e-mail (or text). If a player is logged into MySam where the schedules are posted, they will be unable to view the schedule unless they
are attached to the current roster.
3) To make sure players have everything needed for the season (waivers and memberships). Rosters also allow the Total Roller staff and team managers know who on their team still owes for their portion of the team fee
(if having player pay individually).

5. Memberships are required for all participants at Total Sports Complex. – While the memberships do help keep pricing down, they also provide members with various discounts at businesses around the facilities (these deals are sent to those with valid memberships in a monthly Membership Newsletter).

6. Scheduling requests are accepted but nothing can be guaranteed. – One of the many reasons teams return to Total Roller each season is the effort made to accommodate scheduling conflicts. With certain leagues being busier than others, every effort is made however it is important to remember not every request can be met. If you have scheduling requests, please let the staff member assisting you know those requests.

7. Game and schedule info. – Total Roller utilizes two programs for this information: MySam and Pointstreak. Players have individual MySam accounts through Total Sports, this account is added to the team you play with, where you can see the full schedule, and how you receive game reminders each week. Pointstreak is where teams can access scores and standings.

8. Alternate night of play. – Depending upon registration numbers and scheduling conflicts, teams may have games on a different night from the night they are registered.

9. Don’t forget about your practice time! – Each team is allotted three (3) 50 minute practices throughout each session. What is great about these practice times, is teams can use the rink however they would like. Meaning whether you want to invite another team for a scrimmage, just shoot the puck on the net, or make your team go through a boot camp, go for it! The 50 minutes is yours!
*Youth Players – The Total Roller staff schedules the first practice before the season starts so players can meet their teammates and coach as well as pick up their jerseys. It is up to the coach to schedule and inform th
parents of the remaining two practices.

Keeping each of these in mind when registering your team and/or child, help make the registration process and the session run smoothly. Call Total Roller Hockey with any questions.
